There is an olive tree in front of our Life Store in Gioia del Colle. We planted it ourselves - Pasquale and Angelo. Not for decoration, but to remember where we come from. In Puglia, an olive tree is not just a tree. It is a promise of continuity.
It all began with our father. In 1956, he opened a small woodworking shop in Gioia del Colle - with his hands, wood, and the conviction that doing things well was never a waste of time. Over the years, that workshop evolved: first the furniture we built, then the pieces we selected, then a second showroom, and finally a true identity.
Pasquale is the eldest. He learned by listening to our father’s customers, understanding that a piece of furniture is never just a piece of furniture - it is where a family eats, where a child studies, where two people build their life together. He took what our father had planted and helped it grow, without betraying its roots.
Angelo is an architect. When he joined Stilmobili, he brought something that was missing: design. Not selling a sofa, but designing a space. Not proposing a kitchen, but imagining how that kitchen will change the daily life of the people who live in it. Today, every customer receives a realistic rendering of their space before choosing the first piece - because no one should buy something they have not yet seen come to life in their own home.
In 2000, we divided the two sides of our brand: the Life Store for furnishings and design, and the Cook Store for home accessories, tableware, and wedding registries. Two distinct worlds, one philosophy: every corner of the home deserves attention, care, and a personal touch.
