Alessi — 5051 | Sottsass Design Ice Bucket

Alessi 5051 — The Ice Ritual, with Sottsass’s Signature

There is something deeply cinematic about preparing the perfect cocktail: the clink of the ice, the care taken with every movement, the atmosphere created around a good drink. This ice bucket was born precisely from that nostalgia - the nostalgia for impeccable cocktails, confident gestures, and a big-screen elegance that has never stopped captivating us.

Why we chose it for you

Designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1979, with consulting by Alberto Gozzi, this ice bucket is part of a series of professional bar and wine-service objects created to bring the precision of the trade into the home. Sottsass - one of the most visionary designers of the 20th century and a central figure in the Alessi catalog - conceived these pieces with the practicality of someone who understands both service and beauty equally well. Founded in 1921 on Lake Orta and always a research laboratory for the applied arts, Alessi has made this balance between function and form its most authentic identity.
