Alessi — 826/15 | Round wire basket in stainless steel

There is a geometric purity to Alessi's 826/15 basket that belongs to the great tradition of metal wireworking: a perfect circle, traced in 18/10 stainless steel, that defines the space without closing it off. The wire structure lets the contents breathe, creates plays of light and shadow across the surface, and transforms an everyday object into a small table architecture. With its fifteen-centimeter diameter and compact height of five and a half centimeters, it naturally accommodates bread, fruit, and the small objects that enliven a carefully set table. The design bears the signature of the Alessi Technical Office, that internal forge of craftsmanship and industrial sensitivity which for decades has preserved and renewed the formal vocabulary of the Crusinallo factory. Not a single name, but a collective expertise built up over time, capable of shaping steel wire with the same precision and respect with which the master craftsmen of Verbano worked metals a century ago. The 826/15 belongs to the Alessi permanent collection, a timeless classic presented in the fall/winter selection with the discretion of those who have no need to reinvent themselves. At Stilmobili, we chose this basket because it embodies a design idea we deeply share: beauty not as added ornament, but as the natural result of a well-conceived form. It is the ideal object for those who arrange the table with intention, who seek aesthetic consistency even in the most everyday gestures, and who know that the difference between a meal and an experience often lies in the details.
