Alessi — 826/20 | Round wire basket in stainless steel

There is a geometric purity to Alessi's 826/20 basket that belongs to the great tradition of the perfect anonymous object: one that does not demand attention, but transforms every surface on which it rests. The 18/10 stainless steel wire intertwines and bends with almost musical precision, describing a circle 20.5 centimeters in diameter that is both container and sculpture. The visual lightness of the metal lattice contrasts with the solidity of the material, creating the subtle tension that distinguishes good design from an ordinary object. This basket was created by the Alessi Technical Office, the in-house laboratory that preserves and reinterprets the formal vocabulary of the Crusinallo manufacturer. Not the name of a single designer, but the collective intelligence of a company that has transformed metal into material culture since 1921. The 826/20 belongs to the permanent Alessi collection, that archive of essential forms that moves through the seasons without aging, presenting itself with renewed relevance in the spring and summer palette. We chose it for Stilmobili because it embodies what we look for in the objects we offer: the ability to be functional without sacrificing grace. It is ideal for those who furnish a kitchen with aesthetic rigor, for those seeking an elegant place-marker on a desk, or for anyone who wants to serve bread and fruit at the table with the same care they devote to a floral arrangement. An object that adapts without ever becoming banal. Design notes: 18/10 stainless steel, diameter 20.5 cm, height 7.7 cm. Alessi collection, continuous production. Hand-washable, built to last.
