Alessi — 90101/20 | La Cintura di Orione saucepan, Ø20 cm

There is something ancestral about the copper that emerges at the bottom of this saucepan: a reminder of fire, heat transfer, and cooking as a primordial, conscious act. La Cintura di Orione presents itself with the essential sobriety of 18/10 stainless steel, but its copper interior is where the piece’s technical and poetic soul resides. The two symmetrical handles create a precise, almost architectural visual balance, while the pure cylindrical shape unmistakably declares its belonging to a rigorous tradition of design thinking. The project was born from the mind of Richard Sapper - a German designer who made Italy his home, creator of objects that redefined the boundary between industry and material culture - in dialogue with Alberto Gozzi and the great Gualtiero Marchesi, undisputed master of Italian cuisine. This meeting between design and haute cuisine is no coincidence: La Cintura di Orione is a collection designed for those who cook with intention, where the thermal response of copper is not a technical detail but a cooking philosophy. The name itself - an astronomical evocation, a band of stars - suggests an ambition that goes beyond the utensil. At Stilmobili, we chose this piece because it represents exactly what we seek: objects capable of inhabiting the kitchen and memory simultaneously. It is ideal for those who do not separate aesthetics from function, for those who consider food preparation a cultural as well as everyday act, and for those who wish to bring to the table - or simply keep on display - something with a story to tell.
