Richard Sapper - the German designer adopted by Italy, creator of the Tizio lamp and the first IBM ThinkPad - designed *La Cintura di Orione* for Officina Alessi in the early 1990s, in a project that brought two extraordinary voices alongside his own: Alberto Gozzi for technical consulting and Alain Chapel, the great French chef from Mionnay, for the gastronomic aspect. Three different kinds of intelligence, one ambition: to redefine what a high-quality pot means. The name, borrowed from the constellation, reveals that cosmic vocation - an object that aspires to something more than mere use.
