Alessi — 9093 250US | Graves kettle, USA 250th anniversary edition

There is something immediately recognisable about Michael Graves's 9093 kettle: that conical silhouette, the bird-shaped whistle on the spout, the enveloping handle. In this special version - called *Liber-tea* - everything remains, but with an openly symbolic burst of colour. The 18/10 stainless steel body shines with its usual solidity, while the thermoplastic resin handle is dressed in a crisp blue, almost constitutional in tone. The whistle features the colours of the American tricolour: PVD-coated brass with a red accent. An object that literally sounds like a celebration. The 9093 is one of the most iconic creations in Alessi's history. Designed by Michael Graves in 1985, an American postmodern architect among the most influential of the 20th century, the kettle marked a turning point in the way product design could engage with the general public without losing cultural depth. Graves brought his narrative grammar of classical references, colour and formal irony into the kitchen. That conical shape was never merely functional: it is a manifesto. This limited edition - 499 numbered pieces - was created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, paying homage to its creator's roots with an elegance that never slips into kitsch. We chose it because it belongs to that rare category of objects that do not age: collectible by definition, yet perfectly at home on an induction cooktop. At Stilmobili, we imagine it in a kitchen with a strong character, as a gift for those who love design with a story, or as an archival piece for the discerning collector. *Project notes.* Capacity 2 litres. Diameter 22 cm, height 22.5 cm. Magnetic base compatible with induction cooktops. Numbered edition, 499 total pieces.
