Alessi — 9097 B | Sugar bowl with teaspoon by Michael Graves

There is something deliberately theatrical about Alessi's 9097 B sugar bowl: a form that does not merely contain, but makes a statement. 18/10 stainless steel - polished, cool to the touch, capable of reflecting the morning light like a convex mirror - meets black polyamide in a color contrast that leaves no room for indifference. The included teaspoon, conceived as an inseparable part of the composition, completes the gesture with a coherence that only a visionary designer can impose on everyday objects. Michael Graves, an American architect and one of the leading exponents of Postmodernism, joined Alessi in the 1980s, transforming the collaboration into one of the most frequently cited chapters in the history of industrial design. His aesthetic - characterized by classical references, structural colors, and anthropomorphic geometries - found in the Crusinallo manufacturer a partner capable of translating into metal ideas that seemed to belong more to architecture than to craftsmanship. The 9097 code was born from that fertile dialogue and still bears the unmistakable marks of that creative period. At Stilmobili, we chose this sugar bowl because it represents exactly what we seek: a functional object that does not sacrifice its formal identity. It is ideal for anyone who wants to create a table setting with character, for the design enthusiast who knows the story behind every piece, or for anyone looking for a gift capable of saying something specific about both the giver and the recipient.
