Alessi — A Tempo APD04 APD04/VASW | White resin tray by Deltour

There is something disarming about the simplicity of the A Tempo tray: a perfect circle, forty centimeters of white thermoplastic resin that does not seek to impress, yet manages to do so. The smooth, luminous surface discreetly captures the light, transforming every object placed on it - a small cup, a carafe, a bouquet of flowers - into an unconsciously curated composition. Here, white is not a neutral choice: it is a statement of intent, an invitation to look at what is being carried, not what one is.

Pauline Deltour, the French designer trained at the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in Paris and a former collaborator of Jasper Morrison before embarking on her own path, brings her most recognizable signature to this piece: formal rigor and an almost tactile attention to the material. A Tempo was created in May 2010 as part of the "A di Alessi" collection, an editorial and design project through which Fabbrica del Vapore brought together young and refined voices from European design, entrusting them with everyday objects and the implicit task of making them memorable without making them loud.

At Stilmobili, we chose A Tempo because it embodies exactly the quality we seek in high-end tableware and kitchen objects: the ability to disappear into the act of use and appear in the arrangement. It is the ideal tray for those who furnish with intention, for those who know that even a work surface can be a designed surface. It adapts as easily to a minimalist kitchen as to a tea table, a bedroom, or a desk.
