There is something almost hypnotic about the circular perfection of A Tempo: a tray with a diameter of forty centimetres that asserts itself in a space with the assured calm of something that has nothing to prove. Made of white thermoplastic resin, its whiteness is never banal - it is a surface that captures light, distributes it, and transforms it into presence. The form is essential, the weight contained, and the hand that grips it immediately finds its natural balance. A Tempo was created by Pauline Deltour, a French designer trained in the school of Konstantin Grcic, a discreet yet precise voice in the European contemporary design scene. The piece is part of Alessi's A Collection - an editorial project created to convey the brand's identity through objects capable of distilling its formal and cultural essence. Its launch in May 2010 places it at a moment of particular design maturity for the Crusinallo manufacturer, increasingly attentive to the dialogue between research and everyday domestic life. We chose it for Stilmobili because it embodies, with rare consistency, the principle that guides our selection: beauty that does not show off, but inhabits. A Tempo is ideal for those who like to build their home through subtraction - clear surfaces, few but well-chosen objects, everything in its place. It works in the kitchen, on the dining table, or as a compositional centrepiece on a sideboard. It adapts and asserts itself with the same grace. Project notes: white thermoplastic resin, diameter 40 cm, weight 701 g. Alessi A Collection, design by Pauline Deltour, 2010.
