Alessi — AGJ01 4 | Hand-decorated porcelain Three Wise Men

Three silent, hieratic figures wrapped in cloaks that seem to have stepped out of a medieval illustration reinterpreted through the lens of contemporary design. The Three Wise Men from Alessi's A Collection are figurines made of fine porcelain, entirely decorated by hand, in which every chromatic detail tells a story of artisanal devotion and cultured irony. Their deliberately stylized - almost totemic - proportions give the figures a stage presence that goes far beyond traditional Christmas decoration. Behind these small sculptures are Massimo Giacon and Marcello Jori, two leading figures in Italian visual culture spanning auteur comics, art, and design. Giacon, founder of the Frigidaire collective and a central figure in the Memphis generation, and Jori, a painter and illustrator with an unmistakable narrative style, have created an iconographic universe that belongs as much to the history of popular art as to the avant-garde. In Alessi's A Collection - an editorial project that annually brings together the visions of the most original contemporary creatives - their Three Wise Men become collectible objects in the fullest sense of the term. At Stilmobili, we chose them because they perfectly embody what we seek in Christmas decorations: not ephemeral ornaments, but pieces that endure. They are ideal for those who want to create a Christmas with their own aesthetic voice, far from repeating what has already been seen. Perfect as a gift for a design or figurative art enthusiast, or as the focal point of a composition under the tree or on a shelf.
