Alessi — Alessandro M. AM23A 34 | Mendini yellow and black corkscrew

There is something festive yet rigorous about the way Alessandro M. appears on the table: the AlkiPaper® body - a composite material with a matte texture and extraordinary color rendering - embraces a chrome-plated zamak structure with the confidence of something that knows it is, even before being a tool, an object to behold. The Yellow and Black decoration is not a secondary decorative choice: it is the character of the piece, its visual signature, that unmistakable tension between pure color and form that Mendini managed to turn into a system. Alessandro Mendini was one of the clearest-sighted and most visionary intellectuals of twentieth-century Italian design. His relationship with Alessi is a decades-long story of research, cultured irony, and a unique ability to transform an everyday object into an aesthetic manifesto. The Alessandro M. corkscrew - whose name leaves no doubt about its authorship - was born within the Alessi collection as a natural extension of that thinking: the act of opening a bottle becomes an opportunity for beauty, almost a small domestic ritual elevated to a ceremony. We chose it for Stilmobili because it represents exactly what we look for: objects capable of existing in the world with a personality of their own, without depending on their context to be noticed. It is the ideal gift for those who love wine but love well-made things even more, for those who furnish their kitchen or wine cellar with the same care they use when choosing a painting. A presence that is not easily forgotten. Project notes: height 21 cm, diameter 6 cm. Materials: AlkiPaper® and chrome-plated zamak. Weight 320 g. Designer: Alessandro Mendini. Alessi collection, autumn/winter lineup.
