The Alessandro M Project

Alessandro M was created as a self-portrait: Mendini translated his creative identity into a practical, ironic, and functional form. Together with Anna — his wine companion — it forms the most iconic double corkscrew in Alessi's collection. The 2021 color editions, including this Azzurro version, were selected according to Mendini's own design criteria: shades that speak to collectors of his work and to anyone who wants to open a bottle with the same care they take in choosing the wine. The mechanism is immediate, the opening smooth, and the gesture almost natural.
