There is something essential and, at the same time, sophisticated about the All-Time bowl: a form that seems to have existed forever, smoothed by habit and necessity, yet still capable of surprising. The bone china from which it is made - that exceptionally fine porcelain obtained from bone ash - gives it an almost translucent luminosity, a warm white that is never cold, never clinical. In the hands, it conveys lightness and solidity at once, as only great materials can. All-Time was created by Guido Venturini, a cult figure in the Italian design scene, already known for his ironic, sharp perspective developed over twenty years of collaborations with Alessi. In this project, however, Venturini chooses sobriety: he abandons the provocative gesture to pursue something more enduring, a formal language that belongs to the tradition of the European table yet cites no one. The All-Time collection is part of the "A di Alessi" program, conceived to bring great design closer to a broader everyday audience without sacrificing production quality.
