Parade was born from the meeting of two complementary creative sensibilities: the all-encompassing, ironic vision of Alessandro Mendini - one of the greatest theorists and leading figures of 20th-century Italian design - and the decoration created by Arthur Arbesser, a Viennese fashion designer with a geometric, Mediterranean style. Part of the Alessi Palinsesto collection, this corkscrew belongs to the fall/winter season and brings with it all the conceptual force of the Alessandro M. project, a posthumous tribute to Mendini's poetics that continues to generate new works. The series is limited to just 9 numbered examples and 1 artist's proof: numbers worthy of a darkroom, a gallery, a private collection.
