Alessi — AMDR08 B | Gianni, black glass airtight jar

There is something unexpectedly tender about the way Gianni holds onto the lid. His small figure, shaped from black thermoplastic resin, clings to the rim of the glass jar with the quiet determination of someone safeguarding something precious. It is an airtight container, certainly — capable and precise in its function — but above all, it is a little character that inhabits the worktop, transforming an everyday gesture such as opening a pantry into a moment of restrained delight. Gianni was created by Mattia Di Rosa for CSA — Centro Studi Alessi — as part of the *A di Alessi* collection, the editorial project through which the Crusinallo manufacturer interprets design as an accessible narrative language. The collection does not forgo the construction quality that distinguishes every Alessi object, but wraps it in a gentle, almost fairy-tale-like irony that engages with the Italian tradition of storytelling through images. Di Rosa works with the stylized human figure through rigorous graphic synthesis: a few lines, a barely suggested expression, a presence that never overshadows the object but animates it. At Stilmobili, we chose Gianni because he perfectly embodies the tension between utility and poetry that we seek in every piece in our selection. It is ideal for those who love design that can surprise, for those who furnish a kitchen or study with the same care given to the living room, and for those looking for an original gift, far from the ordinary.
