Alessi — Amethyst MA04 4S | Anastassiades 18/10 stainless steel diffuser

There is something suspended in the air when an Amethyst diffuser enters a room. It is not only the fragrance - enveloping, layered, designed for seasons that close in darkness and reopen to light - but the object itself announcing a presence. The 18/10 stainless steel body, enclosed by a lid that extends its geometry, rests on the surface with the composure of a piece of contemporary silverware. The rattan sticks emerge from the opening in a restrained, almost choreographic gesture. Generous diameter - twelve centimeters - and a two-hundred-milliliter capacity: proportions designed for slow, continuous diffusion. Michael Anastassiades, the Cypriot-British designer known as one of the most rigorous and poetic of his generation, brings to this project the same formal grammar that characterizes his iconic lighting systems: surfaces that do not demand attention, volumes that deserve it. Anastassiades works for Alessi within the brand's permanent collection, and each signed piece reflects his ability to transform the useful into the essential, the functional into the contemplative. The Amethyst fragrance is conceived for the autumn and winter seasons, attuned to low light and long evenings. We chose Amethyst because it answers a precise question we ask ourselves for every product: would it add something to a home already thoughtfully designed? Here, the answer is yes - without hesitation. It is the diffuser for those who do not want a decorative accessory, but an object that inhabits a space with discretion and authority. Ideal in an entryway, on a marble shelf, or as a gift for someone who is not satisfied with the obvious. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, rattan sticks, refill included.
