There is something almost mineral about the name chosen for this fragrance: Amethyst evokes the violet depth of a precious stone, its ability to hold light and return it transformed. The refill — complete with rattan sticks — brings into the home a scent designed to settle slowly, layer by layer, like perfumes that do not announce themselves but are discovered. The project belongs to the AlessiPalinsesto collection, the program through which Alessi invited some of the most rigorous designers on the international scene to engage with an unusual field: the olfactory realm. Michael Anastassiades — Cypriot by birth, Londoner by adoption, renowned for his ability to distill form down to its essence — applied the same method to fragrance that governs his lamps and objects: subtraction, precision, silence. The collection unfolds across the fall-winter seasons, with warm, enveloping tones designed for the months when the home becomes a refuge. At Stilmobili, we chose this refill because it represents a coherent way to extend the language of design into the more intangible sensory sphere. It is intended for those who have carefully chosen every object in their space and want the air within it to reflect the same intention.
