Alessi — Amici BG02/3 | Stainless steel table knife

There is something deliberately familiar about the Amici knife: an AISI 420 steel blade that tapers toward the handle without interruption, with a formal continuity reminiscent of family cutlery, the kind passed down through generations and instantly recognizable on a set table. The proportions are studied down to the millimeter — 22 centimeters long and a compact 2.2 centimeters wide — for a grip that feels natural, secure, and almost instinctive. The weight, the balance, the smooth surface of the polished steel: everything speaks of an object designed to last and be used every day without regret. Amici was created by BIG-GAME, the design collective founded by Augustin Scott de Martinville, Elric Petit, and Grégoire Jeanmonod. The studio, active between Lausanne and Paris, is known for a design philosophy that rejects formal showmanship in favor of an almost moral clarity of purpose: every element must be exactly what it appears to be, without superfluous embellishment. In this cutlery, that principle translates into an essential line that nods to tradition without slavishly quoting it, appearing contemporary precisely because it does not chase novelty. At Stilmobili, we chose Amici because it embodies a vision of living in which beauty is not separated from everyday use. It is the right cutlery for those who want a refined table without excessive formality, for those who enjoy entertaining with style but without distance. Perfect both for a dinner with friends — as the name suggests — and for everyday meals, when quality is truly appreciated. Project notes: AISI 420 stainless steel. Dimensions: 22 × 2.2 × 0.7 cm. Part of the Amici collection designed by BIG-GAME for Alessi, available as a complete set.
