Alessi — AMJ13 1 | Baby Jesus blown-glass ornament

A blown-glass sphere that encapsulates the mystery and sweetness of Christmas. Alessi's Baby Jesus is a hand-decorated tree bauble in which the transparency and fragility of glass become a perfect metaphor for sacred childhood: something luminous and precious, to be carefully cherished. Its nine-centimeter diameter gives it a generous presence among the branches, capable of capturing the light from the fairy lights and reflecting it back multiplied, warm and intimate. Behind this decoration is the signature of Marcello Jori, one of the most original Italian artists and illustrators of his generation, whom Alessi invited to reinterpret Christmas iconography as part of the "A di Alessi" collection — a line designed to bring the same design quality and affectionate irony that Alessi applies to tableware and household objects to the Christmas tree. Jori works with an imagery populated by archetypal, childlike, and at the same time profound figures, and in this bauble that poetics finds one of its most accomplished expressions. At Stilmobili, we chose this decoration because it represents exactly what we are looking for: objects with a soul, a story to tell, transforming an everyday gesture — hanging an ornament on the tree — into a small cultural act. It is ideal for those who see Christmas as an opportunity to surround themselves with authentic beauty, and for those who want to give something memorable, far removed from the uniformity of anonymous decorations. Project notes: hand-decorated blown glass, 9 cm diameter, A di Alessi collection, design by LPWK – Marcello Jori, autumn/winter backdrop.
