Alessi — AMJ13 5 | Donkey, blown-glass Christmas ornament

There is something both ancient and tender about this little sphere depicting a donkey. Made of blown glass and entirely decorated by hand, it carries the fragility inherent in beautiful things: the kind you hold carefully between your fingers, hang on a branch with a slow, almost ritual gesture. The glass captures the tree's light and reflects it with a softness unknown to industrial decorations. By definition, each piece is unique. L'Asinello belongs to the "A di Alessi" collection, designed by Marcello Jori in collaboration with the LPWK creative group. Jori - a painter, illustrator, eccentric and highly cultured figure in the Italian visual arts scene - brings his unmistakable signature to the tradition of the Christmas bauble: gentle lines, subtle irony, and a vision of the world in which everyday objects become small narratives. The little donkey is not merely a nativity animal: it is a character, with its quiet dignity and its symbolic burden. At Stilmobili, we chose this decoration because it embodies exactly what we look for when selecting an object for the home: the ability to stop time, inspire a smile, and tell a story. It is the perfect gift for anyone who loves designer pieces, even in seasonal details, and for those who want a Christmas tree that is also a small personal museum. It is intended for collectors, Alessi enthusiasts, and anyone who believes that beauty should not take a holiday, not even in December. Design notes: hand-decorated blown glass sphere, height 13.5 cm, width 9 cm. A di Alessi collection, autumn/winter range. Designer: Marcello Jori / LPWK.
