Anna G. does not merely open bottles. For thirty years, she has inhabited the tables, thoughts, and collections of those who recognize in design a language capable of inspiring emotion. In this extraordinary edition of the *Parade* series, the body in AlkiPaper® - a new-generation composite material - is dressed in a decoration designed by Arthur Arbesser, an Austrian fashion designer trained in Milan, whose graphic style combines Central European geometries with pop irony. The chrome-plated zamak of the steel and brass accessories gives it an almost ceremonial sheen, as if Anna G. had put on an evening dress for an occasion worth remembering.

Alessandro Mendini designed Anna G. in 1994, drawing inspiration from the figure of a friend. The silhouette - arms raised, a barely perceptible smile - became within a few years one of the archetypes of postmodern design, a symbol of Alessi's ability to transform an everyday object into domestic sculpture. In the *Parade* series, Alessi entrusts contemporary artists and designers with the task of reinterpreting that iconic body, creating each time a dialogue between the history of the piece and a new visual sensibility.
