Alessi — Arborea AM23A/FM | Mendini Limited Edition corkscrew

There is something ritualistic about opening a bottle. An ancient gesture that, in Alessandro Mendini's hands, becomes a ceremony. Arborea is a corkscrew in AlkiPaper® and chrome-plated zamak, where the metal takes on an almost organic lightness and the surface welcomes the decoration designed by Fulvia Mendini: a pictorial composition that transforms an everyday object into a fragment of applied art. The metal accessories finished in green PVD and brass add sophisticated chromatic layering, suspended between nature and artifice, between the botanical and the precious. For decades, Alessandro Mendini was the critical and creative conscience of Italian design. Founder of Modo magazine, director of Domus and Casabella, theorist of redesign and ornament as a political language: every object he created carries the weight - light, ironic - of a vision of the world. Arborea was created as part of the Alessi Palinsesto collection, a project that intertwines design, art and controlled seriality. The series is limited to just 9 numbered pieces and 1 artist's proof: figures that transform each piece into a unique collectible, signed and traceable. We chose Arborea because at Stilmobili we believe that the most authentic design is what is not forgotten. It is the ideal object for those who consider the table a space for culture as well as conviviality, for the collector seeking works capable of inhabiting both a sideboard and a museum display case. A gift of rare relevance for someone who already has everything - except this. Project notes: Height 21 cm, diameter 6 cm. Materials: AlkiPaper®, chrome-plated zamak, green PVD and brass finishes. Produced by Alessi, Italy. Numbered edition: 9 pieces + 1 artist's proof.
