As slender as a precise gesture, the Asta fish fork is made of 18/10 stainless steel and carries with it all the formal discipline that made this collection famous. The tines are calibrated to accompany the delicacy of fish, while the handle - eighteen centimeters of carefully considered balance - rests naturally between the fingers with discreet ease. Not a tool, but an extension of the hand at the table. Asta is designed by Alessandro Mendini, a founding figure of Italian radical and postmodern design, joined here by co-designer Annalisa Margarini. Mendini built a decades-long dialogue with Alessi - just think of Anna G. and the entire poetics of his "affectionate" objects - and in this cutlery too, one recognizes his ability to lead the everyday object back to a higher dimension of meaning, where function never excludes design beauty. At Stilmobili, we chose Asta for those who care for their table as they care for the spaces they live in: with attention to details others do not see, and the awareness that even a piece of a place setting completes the story of an identity. It is the ideal complement for those who love entertaining in style, or for anyone wishing to enrich an existing cutlery set with selected pieces bearing an authoritative signature. Project notes: part of the AlessiPalinsesto collection for the spring/summer season, AM24/17 is classified as a discontinued item - a detail that enhances its collectible value. 18/10 stainless steel, length 18 cm, net weight 70 g. A piece to seek out, preserve, and use.
