There is an almost ascetic linearity to the Asta fork, a formal purity revealed by touch even before sight. The polished 18/10 stainless steel reflects light with almost mirror-like precision, transforming an everyday gesture - bringing food to the mouth - into a small ritual of elegance. The handle slips between the fingers with the naturalness of someone who has nothing to prove, and yet says everything. Asta was born from the pencil of Alessandro Mendini, a leading figure in twentieth-century Italian design, together with Annalisa Margarini. Mendini, already the creator of iconic pieces for Alessi such as the Anna G corkscrew, also brings to this tableware set that rare ability to distill cultural complexity into forms that seem to have always existed. The collection joins the Alessi catalog with the consistency of someone who knows the language of the table as a space for connection and care inside and out. We chose Asta for those who consider a set table an act of design, not a convention. It is the ideal complement to contemporary settings where detail matters as much as the whole - for those who buy cutlery as they buy a design piece: once, for good. It pairs naturally with a raw linen tablecloth as well as with a more formal table setting, without ever giving in to redundancy. Project notes: polished 18/10 stainless steel table fork, length 19 cm. Net weight 50 g. Designed by Alessandro Mendini with Annalisa Margarini for Alessi.
