Alessi — Bark BM01 | Centerpiece in 18/10 stainless steel

There is something organic in the way Bark stretches across the table: a rippled surface that recalls tree bark, the grain of wood translated into the cool rigor of 18/10 stainless steel. Fifty-one centimeters of pure horizontal presence, barely five centimeters high — an object that does not impose itself vertically but expands, occupies space, and engages with its surroundings. Fruit, leaves, bread, candles: everything seems to find its natural place among its curves. Bark was created through a collaboration between Simon Boucquillon and Awa Maaoui, a design duo that moves effortlessly between the world of industrial design and a more organic, almost artisanal sensibility. The choice to evoke the natural texture of bark through an industrial material par excellence such as polished steel is not irony, but dialogue: the form tells the story of nature, while the material speaks of modernity. The result is an object that belongs to the main Alessi collection — embodying the uncompromising commitment to quality that has made the company from Crusinallo a global benchmark for decades. We chose it for Stilmobili because Bark is one of those objects capable of changing the tone of a room through its presence alone. It is designed for those who furnish with intention, who understand that a centerpiece is never just a centerpiece — it is a visual focal point, an invitation to conviviality, a detail that reveals the taste of those who inhabit the space. Perfect on a marble or natural wood table, it suits both a contemporary kitchen and a more formal dining room. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, polished finish. Dimensions: 51.5 × 19.5 × 5 cm.
