Alessi — Bark Crib BM09 GD | Gold-colored steel nativity scene

There is something ancient yet surprising about the Bark Crib: a nativity scene born from bark - bark, indeed - and presented as a small sacred architecture suspended between nature and abstraction. Made of 18/10 stainless steel with a gold finish, the piece captures the light with the luminous discretion characteristic of noble metals. Its forms, contained within a volume of 23 × 13 × 10 centimeters, evoke the Nativity hut through the language of contemporary design: nothing redundant, nothing illustrative, just the poetic synthesis of a thousand-year-old iconography. The project bears the signature of the Boucquillon & Maaoui duo, a French-Tunisian studio that has made cultural cross-pollination its formal vocabulary. Simon Boucquillon and Nicolin Maaoui work with Alessi within that tradition of dialogue between Italian craftsmanship and international sensibility that has made the Fabbrica del Sorrento a unique laboratory in the world. The Bark Crib belongs to the Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter collection, designed to enrich the home during the months of domestic retreat, when objects become seasonal companions. At Stilmobili, we chose this nativity scene for those who see Christmas not as an occasion for generic decoration, but as a time to surround themselves with objects that have roots and meaning. It is the ideal gift for those who love design without giving up tradition, and for those looking for something that can last for years and pass through generations without ever fully growing old. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, gold finish. Dimensions: 23 × 13 × 10 cm. Design by Boucquillon & Maaoui. Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter collection. Code BM09 GD.
