Alessi — Bark for Christmas BM06/30 GR | Green steel Christmas decoration

There is something inherently poetic about transforming a branch — in its organic simplicity, its imperfect geometry — into a festive object capable of inhabiting the domestic space with discretion and character. Bark for Christmas is exactly that: a Christmas decoration in colored steel with a green epoxy resin finish, embellished with small white porcelain magnets that evoke, with minimalist grace, snow resting on the branches of a winter forest. Its proportions — 30 cm in height, 25 cm in width — give it a striking presence without ever feeling intrusive. The project was born from a collaboration between Simon Boucquillon and Nizar Maaoui, a creative duo who, with Alessi, have explored the subtle boundary between decoration and domestic sculpture. Their approach to design always begins with observing nature, reinterpreted through the industrial language of worked and colored metal: a synthesis that fully belongs to the tradition of the Fabbrica del Sogno in Crusinallo, where craftsmanship and mass production have been interacting for decades. At Stilmobili, we chose Bark for Christmas because it reflects an idea of a sober, contemporary celebration, far removed from decorative excess. It is designed for those who enjoy bringing Christmas into their homes with objects that tell a design story, placing them on a shelf, windowsill, or bookcase as one would a permanent design piece — only to store it with the same care, year after year. Project notes: steel painted with green epoxy resin. Porcelain details with a magnetic function. Dimensions 25 × 9 × 30 cm. Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter collection.
