Alessi — Bark for Christmas BM06/30 W | Steel Christmas decoration

There is something ancient and familiar in the profile of a Christmas fir tree, in its silhouette that has inhabited homes during the holidays for centuries. Bark for Christmas reinterprets this iconography with the craftsmanship that distinguishes Alessi: steel colored with epoxy resin in its white version, embellished with porcelain magnets that dot the surface like silent snowfall. The form extends into space - 30 cm high, a slender, sculptural presence - with the lightness that only expertly worked metal can convey. The project bears the signature of the creative duo Boucquillon & Maaoui, designers with a Franco-Tunisian background who developed a piece for Alessi that moves between decoration and small-scale domestic architecture. Their approach to design combines rigorous geometry with poetic sensibility, translating the Christmas symbol into an object free from kitsch nostalgia, yet at ease in the contemporary world. Bark - meaning tree bark, but also a festive woof - suggests a playful duality that is the project's stylistic hallmark. We at Stilmobili chose it because it brings our customers' homes a vision of Christmas without embellishments: elegant, essential, and able to complement both thoughtfully designed interiors and more eclectic settings. It is the ideal gift for those who love design as a form of everyday care, and the festive season as an opportunity to renew their perspective on the objects that inhabit their home.
