Alessi — Bark for Christmas BM06 GR | Green steel Christmas tree

There is something unexpectedly moving about a Christmas tree that gives up the obvious to embrace the essential. Bark for Christmas is a domestic sculpture: steel coated with epoxy resin in a deep, richly textured green, embellished with small white porcelain magnets that discreetly evoke snow resting on the branches. The form abstracts from nature without betraying it - synthetic and geometric, yet capable of conveying the feeling of a familiar silhouette. Forty-five centimeters in height, enough to transform the light in a room. The design bears the signature of Boucquillon & Maaoui, a creative duo who have successfully translated one of the most memory-laden collective icons into a contemporary design object for Alessi. Their approach - rooted in the culture of French industrial design and attentive to the tension between functional form and symbolic value - finds a happy synthesis in this piece: the tree does not merely decorate; it conveys a vision of Christmas that is less sentimental and more mindful. At Stilmobili, we chose Bark for Christmas because it responds to a need we feel growing every season: that of those who want to celebrate the holidays without giving in to excessive decoration. It is the right object for those who live in carefully curated spaces, for those who give gifts with intention, and for those seeking a Christmas accent that can complement a Cassina sofa or a Porro bookcase without clashing. A piece to keep, store carefully, and rediscover with pleasure every year. Project notes: epoxy resin-coated steel structure with a green finish. Porcelain decorative elements with magnetic closure. Dimensions: 35.5 × 14 × 45 cm. Weight: 1.55 kg. Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter collection.
