Alessi — Barket BM10/18 B | Round black painted steel basket

There is an almost architectural precision in the silhouette of the Barket: a perfect disk, defined edges, and a surface that captures the light with the discreet matte quality of black. Made of painted steel, this round basket with a diameter of eighteen centimeters and a compact height - just six and a half centimeters - embodies that typically Alessi tension between an object for use and an object to admire. Placed on a desk, at the center of a dining table, or on the shelf of a design bathroom, it does not hide: it confidently occupies its own space. The Barket was born from the collaboration between Simon Boucquillon and Ionna Vautrin Maaoui, a Franco-Parisian duo capable of moving effortlessly between industrial design and contemporary visual culture. Their approach reduces form to its essentials without ever sacrificing character: every line is a choice, not a compromise. Within the Alessi family - which for decades has hosted the most significant names in international design - the Barket fits into the Palinsesto Spring/Summer collection as a piece capable of standing the test of time despite the seasonal nature of its presentation. At Stilmobili, we chose it because it responds to a need we know well: that of people who want functional objects to speak a coherent design language too. It is made for those who furnish with intention, who know that a basket on the table is never just a basket. The painted black finish makes it versatile in combinations with light wood, marble, and natural metal, without ever becoming neutral. Design notes: painted steel, black. Diameter 18 cm, height 6.5 cm. Net weight 552 g. Design by Boucquillon & Maaoui for Alessi.
