Alessi — Barklamp BM11 | Stainless steel table lamp

There is something organic and, at the same time, rigorous about the Barklamp: an 18/10 stainless steel cylinder that opens upward like peeled bark, allowing light to filter through with the same naturalness with which a branch holds and then releases shadow. Its 21 cm diameter and 28.5 cm height give it a balanced presence, neither intrusive nor timid — exactly the kind of object that is not explained but felt. The integrated touch dimmer turns switching it on into an almost tactile, almost affectionate gesture, while the 3.6 W LED technology produces a warm, adjustable light, perfect both for a bedside table and for a work surface where design is part of the thinking. Barklamp is designed by the French duo Simon Boucquillon and Ionna Vautrin Maaoui, designers who move effortlessly between functional objects and domestic sculpture. Their approach — bringing together the artisanal sensibility of European industrial design and a certain formal poetry — finds its natural context at Alessi: a manufacturer that has been transforming metal into storytelling for decades. The Alessi collection to which this piece belongs has the character of the autumn-winter season, as if to suggest that this is light for long evenings, returning home, and unhurried moments. At Stilmobili, we chose the Barklamp because it perfectly embodies that tension — never resolved, always fertile — between function and form that we seek in every piece in our selection. It is the right lamp for those who do not want to choose between quality lighting and an object to look at. For those who furnish with intention, not through accumulation.
