Alessi — Barknest BM02 B | Round black steel basket

There is something organic about Barknest, something that recalls tree bark, the irregular texture of nature translated into metal. The round steel basket, colored with epoxy resin, comes in a deep satin black capable of absorbing light without reflecting it, as the earth does after rain. Its 21-centimeter diameter gives it a discreet yet decisive presence, suitable for holding keys, correspondence, and small everyday objects — transforming the banal act of "putting something down" into an act of style. The design bears the signature of the creative duo Boucquillon & Maaoui, designers with a hybrid sensibility, capable of moving between French industrial culture and a Mediterranean taste for lived-in forms. Barknest is part of the main Alessi collection, conceived for the spring/summer lineup — the season when interiors become lighter and accessories take on a more definitive role in the composition of the domestic space. At Stilmobili, we chose the Barknest because it represents exactly the kind of object that does not seek to impose itself, yet ends up becoming indispensable. It is designed for those who furnish with care even the things they see every day without really looking at them: the entryway surface, the center of the desk, the edge of the washbasin. For a clientele that recognizes in detail the difference between a well-curated space and one that is simply furnished. Project notes: steel structure coated with black epoxy resin; diameter 21 cm, height 7 cm; net weight 688 g. Suitable for domestic use as a catchall tray, centerpiece, or decorative element in contract settings.
