Alessi — Barkoffee BM12/8 | 8-cup press-filter coffee maker

There is something deeply reassuring about the ritual of slowly preparing coffee, with care. Barkoffee interprets it in a clean, contemporary form: an 18/10 stainless steel body, polished and durable as Alessi tradition demands, paired with a heat-resistant glass cylinder that lets you see the dark liquid rise, transform, and concentrate. The press coffee maker - or French press, for those who prefer the Anglo-Saxon term - is a tool that is as simple as it is demanding: it requires attention, time, and presence. And Barkoffee makes it a gesture worthy of remaining on the table even after use. The project bears the signature of the French duo Boucquillon & Maaoui, designers with both Mediterranean and Northern European sensibilities, capable of working with everyday objects without trivializing them. In Barkoffee, they sought a balance between the solidity of metal and the transparency of glass, between function and form - a dialogue that recalls Alessi's design vocabulary without giving in to nostalgia, instead looking toward a discreet and enduring domestic modernity. We chose Barkoffee because it speaks to those who see the kitchen and dining table as spaces for care, not haste. It is the right object for Sunday breakfast, or for a guest to whom you want to offer something more than a capsule. It fits naturally into contemporary settings, alongside a family moka pot or a quality tea set, without competing with anything - simply by being itself. Project notes: 72 cl capacity for 8 cups, dimensions 15 × 10 × 17 cm. 18/10 stainless steel and heat-resistant glass. Alessi collection, spring/summer program.
