Alessi — Barkplace Tree BM18S4 | Set of 4 steel and porcelain place card holders

There is something ancient yet sophisticated about the idea of marking one's place at the table. Barkplace Tree does so with the grace of something that needs no explanation: four small AISI 430 steel objects, each completed with a porcelain magnet, bringing the quiet geometry of a tree branch to the table. The polished, precise metal surface converses with the white porcelain in a contrast that evokes domesticated nature, a forest brought to dinner. The project was created through a collaboration between Simon Boucquillon and Ionna Vautrin - French designers capable of moving between the world of industrial product design and that of visual storytelling - in their four-hands version with Maaoui. The name itself, Barkplace, is a subtle play on words: bark suggests the organic origin of the form, while place refers to the primary function of the place card. An object that tells a story even before it is read. At Stilmobili, we chose Barkplace Tree because it embodies a vision of the table as a stage for thoughtful details. It is designed for those who curate the table setting not as an obligation, but as a pleasure; for those who know that authentic home style is revealed precisely in the seemingly minor accessory. Perfect for an autumn or winter dinner, it adapts with equal elegance to the everyday table and to those of grand occasions. Project notes: the set includes four place cards. Materials: AISI 430 stainless steel, porcelain magnet. Net weight: 255 g. Alessi collection, autumn/winter range.
