Alessi — Basalt MA04 2S | Anastassiades 18/10 stainless steel diffuser

There is something deliberately quiet about Basalt: a cylinder of exact proportions, an 18/10 stainless steel lid that catches the light with the composure of a timeless object. The rattan sticks emerge from the opening with the naturalness of an everyday gesture transformed into ritual, diffusing the fragrance of the same name throughout the room - mineral, deep, evocative of volcanic lands and landscapes where time flows at a different pace. Holding this diffuser means perceiving the precise weight of quality: nothing superfluous, everything in its place. Michael Anastassiades - a Cypriot-British designer with a studio in London, known for his ability to distill complexity into pure form - brings to this project the same philosophy that runs through all his work: the belief that objects should speak softly, but with authority. Part of the Alessi Palinsesto collection for the autumn-winter season, Basalt is born from the meeting of Italian craftsmanship and a radically minimalist contemporary sensibility. We at Stilmobili chose it because it responds to a need we increasingly see among those who inhabit spaces consciously: the search for objects that do more than simply decorate, but shape the atmosphere of a room. It is designed for those who consider fragrance as much a furnishing element as light or fabric, and who want a diffuser worthy of the pieces surrounding it. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, supplied with refill and rattan sticks. Capacity 20 cl, diameter 12 cm, height 6 cm. Included fragrance: Basalt.
