Alessi — Birillo PL03 W | White PMMA toothbrush holder

There is an almost sculptural purity to Piero Lissoni's Birillo: a cylinder that becomes an object, white as morning light, capable of transforming the everyday act of self-care into a small ritual of form. PMMA — high-quality polymethyl methacrylate — provides a smooth, luminous surface, impervious to humidity, perfectly at home in the bathroom while never relinquishing its aesthetic dignity. In its compact, almost pocket-sized dimensions, Birillo concentrates a precise idea of space: nothing superfluous, nothing that should not be there. Piero Lissoni is among the most rigorous Italian designers of his generation — an architect, art director, and designer capable of moving with the same precision between the scale of a building and that of the smallest object. His collaboration with Alessi belongs to the highest tradition of the Factory: one in which industrial design never abandons formal reflection. Birillo is a discreet and convincing testament to this. We chose it for Stilmobili because it represents exactly what we believe in: that every corner of the home — even the most private, even the most functional — deserves the same attention given to a living room or a formal kitchen. It is the ideal accessory for those who furnish the bathroom as they would any other room: consistently, tastefully, without compromise. Project notes: White PMMA material.
