Alessi — Birillo PL07 W | White PMMA tissue box

There is a disarming purity to Piero Lissoni's Birillo: an object that presents itself with the simplicity of a completed gesture, without hesitation or superfluous ornamentation. Made of white PMMA, the material offers an almost milky luminosity, soft to the eye and precise to the touch. Its proportions - 24 centimetres in length with a compact, refined shape - make it a discreet yet far from anonymous presence on the edge of the washbasin or on the bathroom shelf. Piero Lissoni is one of the most authoritative voices in contemporary Italian design: an architect, art director, and interior designer, he has built a highly recognizable formal vocabulary over time, defined by geometric rigor and a sensitivity to materials. His collaboration with Alessi has produced objects that interpret domestic functions with an elegance that is never self-indulgent. The Birillo belongs to the Alessi collection and embodies the design coherence of an author who does not regard an accessory as a secondary detail, but as an integral part of an idea of space. At Stilmobili, we chose the Birillo because it condenses into just a few centimetres of polymethyl methacrylate what we consider essential in contemporary bathroom furnishings: the ability to turn utility into a form of beauty. It is designed for those who refuse to compromise even in utility spaces, for those who consider the bathroom a place of care - and not just of the body. Design notes: the tissue box holder is compatible with standard paper formats, integrates easily into even the most minimalist bathroom designs, and naturally complements the rest of the Birillo collection. The white PMMA does not yellow, retains its brightness over time, and is as easy to clean as it is pleasing to look at.
