Alessi — Birillo PL15 W | White PMMA tissue box

There is a geometry of simplicity that is rarely achieved. Birillo embodies it naturally: a perfect cube measuring fifteen centimeters on each side, made entirely of white PMMA, transforming an everyday object into a quiet and necessary presence. The surface is smooth, almost luminous, able to capture the bathroom's diffuse light and reflect it with the matte, ethereal quality typical of plastics ennobled by design. In the hand, it has the right weight, the substance of something with nothing to prove. Birillo was created by Piero Lissoni, one of the most consistent Italian architects and designers in pursuing an aesthetic of subtraction. Based in Milan, Lissoni has developed a recognizable poetics over time: essential volumes, calibrated proportions, and a systematic rejection of ornament. His contribution to the Alessi collection perfectly interprets the tension between domestic function and formal rigor that has always characterized the Fabbrica dei sogni of Crusinallo. At Stilmobili, we chose Birillo because it represents a mature response to the need for order in private spaces. It is the right accessory for those who harmonize the bathroom with the same care given to the living room: people who understand the value of a detail that is well resolved, who prefer understated elegance to ostentation. It blends seamlessly into minimalist environments, but also holds its own in more eclectic settings, where it becomes a visual anchor. Project notes — Material: white PMMA.
