Alessi — Blow Up FC09 | Coffee table in glass and chromed steel

There is something suspended in the air around the Blow Up: an almost paradoxical lightness, as if the glass and chrome-plated steel had decided, for once, to forget their own weight. The transparent top seems to float on a metal structure that reflects the light in an iridescent way, returning a sense of diffused brightness and understated elegance to the room. A 45-centimeter-diameter side table that occupies the space with absolute discretion, yet never goes unnoticed. Behind the design are Fratelli Campana — Humberto and Fernando — the Brazilian architects and designers who brought a wholly original visual vocabulary to international design, suspended between craftsmanship, surrealism, and pop culture. Their collaboration with Alessi produced objects capable of challenging the categories of the "functional" and the "decorative", transforming each piece into a small narrative. The FC09 is true to this spirit: it begins as a side table but asserts itself as a presence. At Stilmobili, we chose the Blow Up because it precisely represents what we look for when selecting a furnishing accessory: not just utility, but the ability to define an atmosphere.
