There is something deliberately unstable about Blow Up's aesthetic: a chrome-plated steel structure that seems to have exploded outward, as if the metal had yielded to an invisible centrifugal force, stopping an instant before chaos. The steel-wire strands branch out in every direction according to a logic all their own, organic and unpredictable, yet capable of containing, gathering, and arranging. It rests on the floor with the nonchalance of an object that has already decided not to go unnoticed. The design was born from the minds of the Campana Brothers — Fernando and Humberto — Brazilian designers who built their creative vision around the tension between humble materials and sophisticated form, between industrial rigor and wild instinct. With Alessi, this dialogue finds a refined synthesis: chrome-plated steel wire becomes their preferred language, capable of evoking both the artisanal interweaving of the favelas of São Paulo and the aseptic cleanliness of European design. Blow Up belongs to the happiest period of their collaboration with the Crusinallo manufacturer, when every object seemed intent on redefining the boundaries of everyday life.
