Alessi — Bulbul AC100 | Castiglioni stainless steel kettle

There is something ancient yet thoroughly modern about the Bulbul: its silhouette tells a story of boiling water, real kitchens, and slow mornings. The body is made of 18/10 stainless steel, polished like the surface of still water, with a generous belly capable of holding up to 2.5 liters. The black polyamide handle and whistle bring the formal language together in a sharp, almost graphic color contrast. When the water reaches boiling point, the whistle sings - and the name Bulbul, the nightingale of Persian and Eastern tradition, stops seeming like a metaphor and becomes a promise fulfilled. Achille Castiglioni, one of the founding fathers of Italian design, created this kettle with the same ironic intelligence and functional care that distinguish all his objects. Castiglioni never designed simply for the sake of form: every curve, every detail served to make the user experience more fitting, more human. The Bulbul belongs to the historic collaboration between the Milanese master and Alessi, and is now part of the 100 Values Collection - the selection that the Crusinallo Factory dedicates to its iconic pieces, those that have transcended fashions without growing old. At Stilmobili, we chose the Bulbul because it perfectly sums up what we look for: objects that belong to everyday life without compromising on excellence. It is the ideal kettle for those who see the kitchen as a place of culture, not merely necessity. Its magnetic steel base makes it compatible with induction cooktops, without any aesthetic compromise for the sake of technical requirements.
