Alessi — Cha NF03 | Polished stainless steel sugar bowl

There is something almost meditative about Cha's form: a low bowl with barely perceptible edges that rests on the surface with the tranquility of an oriental object. The polished 18/10 stainless steel surface reflects light evenly and silently, transforming an everyday gesture — taking sugar, pouring it, setting down the teaspoon — into a small, mindful ritual. The metal, cool to the touch but warm to the eye, engages with porcelain and teapots with disarming naturalness. Cha was created by Naoto Fukasawa, one of the most respected and influential Japanese designers of his generation and, for years, a key creative partner of Alessi in redesigning objects for domestic life. Fukasawa works by subtraction: he removes anything superfluous until only the essential remains, and that essential becomes form. In Cha, his unmistakable signature can be recognized — soft geometry, proportions calibrated to the millimeter, and the absence of any ornament other than the perfection of the surface itself. We chose Cha for Stilmobili because it perfectly embodies the tension between simplicity and refinement that we seek in every piece of our selection. It is the ideal accessory for those who set the table with intention, for those who recognize tea service as a moment of pause and care. It pairs naturally with the most contemporary collections, but also works beautifully in more classic settings, where the polished metal adds a modern touch without clashing.
