Alessi — & Cheese MW22SET | Wood and steel cheese set

There is an ancient ritual in cutting and serving cheese at the table, a gesture that deserves tools worthy of its dignity. Alessi's MW22SET set brings together three objects of different origins - and by different designers - in a coherent composition, where the warmth of beech wood converses with the cool sheen of stainless steel. The "Dressed in Wood" cheese board features a raised decoration that transforms a functional surface into an object to display; the "Antechinus" 18/10 stainless steel knife offers balance and precision when cutting; the "Mami" cheese pick in 1.4116 steel, with a stainless steel handle, is designed for hard cheeses, those that require strength and control. Three pieces, three distinct design stories - each signed by different designers in the great collaborative tradition of Alessi - which Fabbrica del Lago has skillfully brought together in a harmonious set. This is one of the most recognizable features of the Alessi method: the ability to build families of objects that speak to one another despite coming from different formal worlds, held together by an obsessive care for materials and a sense of detail that leaves nothing to approximation. At Stilmobili, we chose this set because it embodies what we are always looking for: objects that have something to tell even when they are not being used. It is the perfect gift for those who love to host with care, for those who set a table as if it were a mise en scène, and for those who want even a convivial moment like cheese tasting to have its own precise aesthetic.
