Alessi — Circus | Glass Airtight Jar

Alessi – "Circus" Airtight Jar — The Circus Comes into the Kitchen

There is something magical about bringing an object that tells a story onto the sideboard. Alessi's Circus jar evokes the atmosphere of old-fashioned fairs: the red-and-white striped big top, the golden knob at the center, and the decorations on the glass that look like rotating screens of light. And yet it is there every day, discreetly preserving aromas and freshness like something that knows its craft.

Why we chose it for you

Alessi began in 1921 as a small artisan workshop on Lake Orta and over time established itself as one of the most authoritative studios in the field of applied arts. Circus was designed by Marcel Wanders, a designer who has built his own visual language around the poetic storytelling of objects: the collection transforms a simple jar into a small piece of the imagination without sacrificing functionality. It is this balance - between a story to tell and practical usefulness - that convinced us at Stilmobili to include it in our selection.
