Alessi — Circus MW31S3 | Set of three Wanders tin boxes

Three cylinders that nest inside one another like secrets kept in layers. Circus is a set of decorated tin containers, designed to grace shelves with the same elegance as a precious object occupying a place on a stage. The metal surfaces carry the memory of an ancient craft tradition - that of painted tin boxes, travel trunks, and haberdashery cases - reinterpreted with the visionary sensibility that distinguishes the Crusinallo brand. The project was created by Marcel Wanders, one of the most recognizable Dutch designers on the contemporary international scene. Known for his romantic and theatrical approach to design - from which the name Circus is certainly no coincidence - Wanders brings a rich narrative universe to every object, poised between fairy tale and sophistication. His collaboration with Alessi has produced pieces capable of transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary, where function is dressed in symbolism and every shape tells a story beyond itself. At Stilmobili, we chose Circus because it perfectly embodies that boundary between utilitarian object and collectible that lies at the heart of our offering. Three different sizes - Ø 11.2, 14.4 and 17.6 cm - allow for a modular arrangement on any surface: from the dressing table to the bookcase, from the study to a carefully styled entryway console.
