Details: Description The Tonale Table Service, designed by David Chipperfield, is a seemingly random collection of typologically ambiguous objects, composed of a variety of pieces that include a tray, cutting board, carafe, plates and bowls, glasses and cups. The project draws inspiration from Korean, Japanese and Chinese vernacular ceramics and is conceived as an exercise in refinement of some functional objects from the world of household goods. The name Tonale refers to Morandi's approach to the theme of color and hues that gives his everyday objects a personal character. The components of the project are produced in a variety of materials such as metal, glass and wood, preserving its expressive purity while honoring the requirements for a durable, practical and versatile service.
