Alessi — Delight NZ04 NZ04 4 | Blown glass Christmas ornament

There is something ancient yet contemporary in the act of hanging a blown-glass sphere on the Christmas tree. Alessi's Delight bauble - code NZ04 - brings that tradition back to life with disarming lightness: nine centimeters in diameter, hand-blown glass in which the material holds the breath of its maker. The surface captures light in ever-changing ways, returning it transformed, almost as if each reflection told a different story depending on the time of day and the angle of the viewer's gaze. The design bears the signature of Nika Zupanc, the Slovenian designer who is one of the most distinctive voices in the contemporary European scene. Her work has always moved at the boundary between the decorative and the narrative, between the functional object and the small artifact capable of evoking emotions. With Delight, Zupanc does not reinvent the Christmas bauble: she distills it. She captures its purest essence, relying on the quality of blown glass and the formal precision of the sphere to create something that belongs as much to tradition as to the present. At Stilmobili, we chose Delight because we believe that seasonal rituals also deserve thoughtfully designed objects. It is the ideal gift for those who see the home as a space of meaning, not merely function - for those who want even a Christmas ornament to carry a small story. Perfect on its own as a precious accent, it is even more eloquent when arranged with other pieces from the Alessi Palinsesto collection.
