Alessi — Delight NZ04 NZ04 5 | Blown glass Christmas ornament

There is something ancient and precious in the act of hanging a mouth-blown glass sphere from a fir branch. Delight belongs to this collective memory, yet reinterprets it with the contemporary sensibility that distinguishes Alessi's creative research: a 9-centimeter-diameter ball, light as a breath, in which mouth-blown glass captures and reflects light in ever-changing ways, transforming every reflection into a small visual event. Holding it in your hands before hanging it is already a gesture that belongs to the ritual. Delight is a project by Slovenian designer Nika Zupanc, one of the most refined figures in the European design scene, known for a language that confidently crosses the boundary between functional object and decorative sculpture. Her approach to Christmas is neither nostalgic nor didactic; rather, it is an invitation to rediscover formal dignity in ornamentation, almost a small architecture of celebration. The collection is part of Alessi's autumn-winter lineup, designed for those who experience domestic spaces as an extension of their personal taste. We chose it for Stilmobili because Delight is not simply an ornament: it is a collectible object that engages with refined interiors, minimalist trees, and thoughtfully designed arrangements. It is ideal for those who wish to create a Christmas setting with a precise aesthetic coherence, far removed from impulse decorating and close to the attention to detail that characterizes every high-quality furnishing choice.
