Alessi — Delight NZ04 NZ04 7 | Blown glass Christmas ornament

There is something ancient and precious in the gesture of hanging a blown-glass sphere on the Christmas tree. Alessi's Delight bauble - 9 centimeters in diameter, absolutely weightless - springs from that gesture and returns it in its purest form. Hand-blown glass, crafted according to a centuries-old tradition, captures the light and sends it back into the room with an almost unreal quality: it does not merely reflect it, it seems to hold the glow within, like a small reserve of wonder suspended among the branches. The design bears the signature of Nika Zupanc, a Slovenian designer regarded as one of the most original voices in the contemporary European scene. Known for a style that blends poetic sensitivity with formal rigor, Zupanc conceived Delight as an object that belongs to Alessi's Christmas collection without succumbing to the period's decorative rhetoric. Instead, the sphere is an affirmation of form in its essence: round, perfect, suspended. An archetype that Zupanc renders with the discretion of someone who knows that certain things do not need to be reinvented, only carefully reinterpreted. At Stilmobili, we chose Delight because it perfectly embodies that tension between tradition and thoughtful design that we seek in every object added to our catalogue. It is the ideal gift for anyone who considers Christmas decorating an extension of their personal taste, not a seasonal obligation. Perfect on its own, extraordinary when composed with other elements from the Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter family. Project notes: blown glass, diameter 9 cm, height including fitting 10.5 cm, weight 120 g. Part of the Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter collection.
